About & Submission Policy

Meridian73 began as a single composing stick: one person setting web addresses into a typed index, section by section, the way a printer lays type into a galley before locking it into the chase. The aim was simple — a directory that could be browsed like a printed catalogue, with clear sections and plain language.

Today the index holds 833 approved sites across 22 subject sections. Every entry was submitted by the operator of the site concerned and reviewed before being set into place. There is no automated scraping, no bulk import, and no hidden ranking algorithm. The order within each section is the order of arrival: first submitted, first set.

The sections themselves are named in the tradition of a compositor's type cabinet — each drawer labelled for its contents, nothing filed where it does not belong. When a site does not fit a named section, it goes into The Open Compositor, the catch-all drawer that every print shop keeps beside the press.

Submission is free and open. Fill in the form, choose a section, supply a brief description, and the entry will be reviewed and set in due course. There is no payment, no reciprocal link requirement, and no guarantee of a particular position. The press prints what arrives and what merits inclusion.

Meridian73 does not sell placement, trade links, or issue editorial opinions on listed sites. The directory is a finding aid: a catalogue of what exists on the web, arranged so that readers can find it without difficulty. If you find an entry that is out of date or inaccurate, use the contact form and it will be corrected at the next proof run.
